Troy, Texas - This week’s Be Remarkable takes us out to Troy City Hall, where a couple in their 80′s continues to walk the road of happy destiny, serving family, friends, and folks they didn’t even know, who no longer have a voice.

“She had mentioned that you guys have a heart for just going out and cleaning up different gravesites, trash debris, grass clippings, making sure it’s all well-kept,” Linda McMillan, Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers.

Haroldine Early nominated Troy and Betty Bulls for the Daniel Stark KWTX Be Remarkable Award and says while most people in their eighties are spending their days in rocking chairs, Troy and Betty Bulls are spending their time clearing and maintaining local cemeteries.

“Well, because they’ve done so many good things for me. And I know that they’re out there in July and August mowing those lawns in the dead of summer, when there’s nobody else takes an interest in it,” Haroldine Early, Nominator.

Haroldine also notes, it is also not uncommon for the elderly to find bags of fresh-baked cookies and cinnamon rolls attached to their door, left with love by Troy and Betty! After their actual retirement, Troy as a long-haul driver, and Betty as a teaching assistant, and they’ve adopted two boys and raised them to be contributing citizens.

Both the rewards and sacrifices are not lost on this central Texas power couple, who lead with passion and a servant’s heart.

“I saw plenty of need for love. And I don’t know. It’s just people in general are wonderful,” Betty Bulls, Be Remarkable Winner.

It’s clear this couple is beyond remarkable and for that the folks at Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers wanted to say thank you.

“At Daniel Stark, one of our core values is, ‘Be Remarkable,’ and we want to find ways to have people remark about individuals. And that’s exactly what she did here. And so, on behalf of Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers, we want to give you guys $500 to put towards whatever it is that you want to. If you want to throw it back into your meal, making your yard work at the gravesites, if you want to use it personally, go on an amazing date together,” Linda McMillan, Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers.
