WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Las Trancas Taqueria #1- Stationary trailer at 4021 Bellmead Drive in Bellmead failed a renewal inspection with an 81.

According to the food safety worker, the cooked rice and refried beans were not kept at the right temperature.

They were thrown out.

The raw beef, cooked chorizo, chicken, and steak were not kept at the right temperature.

There were other issues with foods.

Corrective measures were taken...

This place needed a re-inspection.

Olive Garden at 5921 West Waco Drive in Waco failed a re-inspection with an 89.

According to the food safety worker, the raw calamari was thawing for too long.

An employee in the wash area was handling dirty and clean dishes with the same gloves.

There were heavily worn cutting boards and cracked and broken counters.

The floors, drains, and the walls in the prep area needed to be cleaned.

These were all repeat violations.

It needed a re-inspection.

Roni’s Mac Bar at 720 Franklin Avenue in Waco inside Union Hall failed a renewal inspection with an 89.

According to the food safety worker, the business did not have any evidence of a certified food manager on duty.

There was a damp wiping cloth on the prep table.

The workers needed to properly store the cut pineapple in an approved food grade container.

There was insect repellant not approved for commercial use there.

It was thrown out.

And this week’s Clean Plate award goes to Cuppiecakes at 313 South Main Street in McGregor.

According to the website you can buy them individually by the dozen or bite-sized minis.

If you go by the bakery and are hungry for lunch, you can even get sandwiches.

There are cookies and cobblers that you can take home and bake for a nice treat.
