While they’ve experienced shortages in the past, this year’s hiring situation is looking up at Nacogdoches ISD. As they get ready for the upcoming school year, Nacogdoches ISD is making progress in filling open positions.
KTRE's Shaquiena Davie spoke with NISD chief marketing and communications officer Les Linebarger about the jobs that are still open and their impact on the district's students.
Officers from The Colony PD are being hailed as heroes after saving a driver from his crashed, burning Tesla. The vehicle was pinned between two dividing barriers on an overpass. Officers first tried to extinguish the fire but it kept reigniting. They then used a metal breaching tool to break a window and pull the driver out. The driver was taken to the hospital for his injuries along with one officer for smoke inhalation.
“Our Texas delegation is the third largest in the country, so this was a really big, exciting meeting, and it gave us good direction,” said Nancy Nichols of Smith County, a delegate to the convention.
