Toddler dies after falling from 3rd story balcony, officials say

SAN FRANCISCO (CNN) – A 15-month-old died after falling from a third-story window last week.
Rescuers had to tear down part of a fence to reach the child who had dropped more than 20 feet.
The boy was taken to a hospital but was later pronounced dead.
Family members were notified, but the office of the chief medical examiner didn’t release additional information.
Child Protective Services is investigating the incident.
