Man arrested after stabbing at Tigard Transit Center

TIGARD, Ore. (KPTV) - A man is accused of stabbing another man several times at the Tigard Transit Center on Sunday morning.

Just after 9:30 a.m., officers were called out to a disturbance with a weapon at the transit center at 8960 Southwest Commercial Street. Police say officers learned two men had been fighting and one stabbed the other several times, then took off.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. He is expected to survive.

Officers worked with witnesses and TriMet to get a description of the suspect. Police say the suspect had taken another bus into Sherwood, and he was arrested there.

The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Diego Armando Gonzalez-Hernandez, was booked into the Washington County Jail and charged with first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, harassment, interfering with making a report, and an outstanding arrest warrant.
