2 teens hurt after suspects fire into car where they were sitting in N Portland

A 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were hurt in a north Portland shooting early Saturday morning.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were hurt in a north Portland shooting early Saturday morning, according to the police.

Shortly before 4 a.m., someone shot multiple rounds into a car where the two teenagers were sitting near North Newman Avenue and North McCoy Court. The boy was hit by gunfire and the girl was scratched by flying debris, police said.

Bullets also hit nearby houses and other parked cars.

The boy is expected to recover, and the girl declined medical care for her minor injuries.

No one has been arrested at this time.
