PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - The Rose Festival is right around the corner, and on Saturday, they held a workshop for kiddos to start building their floats for the Junior Parade.

Children from all around Portland participate in the parade by dressing in costumes, transforming wagons into floats and decorating bikes with colorful flowers.

Also a part of the Junior Parade - elementary and middle school marching bands will fill the parade route with music, while dance teams will be there to add swirls of color to the celebration.

The pint-sized parade will take place on June 5 and will be broadcast live on FOX 12 plus.
