Cory Stark

Cory Stark is a national award-winning journalist, who’s grateful to be telling stories impacting people in his hometown.

Since 2013, Cory has covered some of St. Louis’ most defining, joyous, and darkest moments.

Cory was one of the first reporters on the scene in Ferguson after the killing of Michael Brown Jr., which led to an international movement for police reform.

In 2019, Cory interviewed St. Louis Blues’ players, coaches, and fans during Channel 4’s live coverage of the franchise’s first Stanley Cup Championship Parade.

He also anchored First Alert 4’s team coverage of the deadly school shooting at CVPA High in October 2022. The 6 p.m. newscast from that tragic day was awarded the prestigious National Edward R. Murrow for Best Newscast in 2023.

Cory is passionate about volunteering and supports numerous charities in the St. Louis area through emcee work. From helping to build houses with Habitat for Humanity, to assisting with the fundraising efforts for organizations like Unleashing Potential, Guardian Angel Settlement Association and St. Luke’s Hospital, Cory regularly gives his time to the important work happening in St. Louis.

Cory graduated from Marquette High School in Chesterfield. He's a proud Butler University alum and a huge Bulldog basketball fan! When not at work, Cory enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Sarah, and two sons, Carson and Caden.
