St. Louis Fire Department responds to hundreds of calls on July 4

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The St. Louis Fire Department responded to over 600 calls between 8 a.m. July 4 and 8 a.m. July 5, according to the department.
The fire department released statistics Friday afternoon of its responses for the past four years. In 2024, the department responded to a total of 630 calls, including 87 fires and 289 emergency medical responses.
The total number of fires was down compared to 2023, 2022 and 2021, but emergency medical responses were up.
