ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Fanchon Auman told First Alert 4 she’s thriving in the wake of her Parkinson’s disease due in large part to the American Parkinson Disease Association-Missouri Chapter.

In addition to investing in research, the organization provides programs and support for those impacted by the disease. While there is no medication or cure for Parksinson’s disease, there are medications that can help with it, and early diagnosis can help patients take action sooner to find their community.

Auman said that taking medication, doing exercises and going to classes through the chapter has made a major impact.

First Alert 4 will have a 4YOU Day of Giving in June to benefit the American Parkinson Disease Association-Missouri Chapter. Click here to learn more about the American Parkinson Disease Association-Missouri Chapter.
