Police identify man who drowned Sunday at Lake Bryan

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Police have provided an update on a tragic event that unfolded Sunday on Lake Bryan.
In a statement shared on Monday, police said the man who drowned has been identified as James Andre Roots, 52, of Shreveport, Louisiana.
Police said Roots went underwater around 1:30 p.m. after falling off an inner tube and never surfaced.
The Bryan Fire Department and Texas Game Wardens responded to assist in looking for Roots.
At approximately 3:05 pm, his body was located.
