Beryl poured rain over portions of the Brazos Valley

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Beryl made landfall in the Coastal Bend of Texas around 4:00AM Monday morning as a Category 1 hurricane. By the time she arrived in the Brazos Valley, Beryl was a very powerful tropical storm. Gusty winds and heavy rain inundated the Brazos Valley for nearly 12 hours, leaving a mess of flood and wind damage in its wake. The southeastern reaches of the region saw the brunt of the impacts, and the bulk of the rain. Here is a look at Beryl rainfall totals collected around the area on Monday:
