Popular fireworks show welcomes new host

KURTEN, Texas (KBTX) - The city of Kurten is ready to light up the sky at its annual fireworks show and fundraiser.
After 20 years the Brazos County District 2 Volunteer Fire Department has decided to step down from hosting the fireworks show.
This year Savage Outdoor and Defense will present the festivities.
This year the fireworks show will feature bounce houses, balloon art, axe throwing and more.
Savage Outdoor and Defense will also be doing a gun raffle fundraiser and raffle tickets will be sold for $10.
Gates will open at 5 p.m. and the fireworks show will begin around 9 p.m.
