BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -Meet our Pet of the Week, Uncle Traveling Matt!

Uncle Traveling Matt is a senior Yorkshire Terrier and Schnauzer mix ready to find a loving family to spend his golden years with.

Because Uncle Matt is almost fully blind, he can be timid with strangers, but once he gets comfortable with someone, he forms an unbreakable bond.

“Other than the blindness, he’s now a healthy guy,” said foster mom Lori Thornton. “He gets along great with the dogs and cats at my house.”

Thornton said he’d be perfect for a calm home with a backyard for him to roam around.

“He loves to walk through the yard. That’s when I get the biggest tail wags from him,” explained Thornton.

Uncle Matt enjoys snuggling on the couch and spending time outdoors.

“He’s very content to just curl up at your feet while you watch TV and he’s looking for his forever place to do that,” added Thornton.
