Aggie Baseball falls to Tennessee to force game three of CWS Finals

OMAHA, Nebraska (KBTX) - Tennessee’s Dylan Dreiling blasted a two-run home run in the seventh inning to flip the script and claim a 4-1 victory over Texas A&M in game two of the Men’s College World Series.

The decisive game three is set for Monday at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN.

Dreiling’s homer marked the first time all College World Series that the Aggies have trailed.

Cal Stark also hit a two-run bomb in the eighth inning to give the Vols a 4-1 lead.

Jace LaViolette hit a solo home run in the first inning to give the Aggies the early lead. It was LaViolette’s first home run this postseason, 29th of the season, and 50th of his career.

Chris Cortez threw 4.1 scoreless innings in relief with seven strikeouts and two hits.

Zane Badmaev made his first start on the mound as an Aggie and his first appearance in Omaha. He threw 1.0 scoreless innings with two strikeouts and two hits.

Drew Beam got the start for Tennessee and threw seven strikeouts with three hits and a run in 4.0 innings.
