BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - While we have a pretty tight lid on our atmosphere, significant daytime heating is working to loosen it, and we may see storms drift into our area before the end of the evening.

A Severe Thunderstorm WATCH has been issued for most of North and Central Texas, including Milam, Robertson, and Leon, Lee, Burleson, Brazos, Grimes, Madison, and Houston Counties in the Brazos Valley until 10pm. The primary concern will be for large hail, and gusting winds, but similar to the past few rounds of severe weather, a tornado or two cannot be ruled out either.

For the rest of the Brazos Valley, storms are generally expected to fall apart headed into this evening, but we may need to watch across the southern stretches of the area through midnight if storms are able to hold together longer than currently expected.

Storms are expected to dissipate as we head into the overnight hours, before our next round moves in Tuesday evening. The latest updates can be found on-air, online, and on your KBTX Weather app.
