BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - A highly unstable atmosphere is present across Central Texas, and like the past couple afternoons, we may see storms drift into our area before the end of the evening.

A Severe Thunderstorm WATCH has been issued for all of North and Central Texas, including Milam, Robertson, and Leon counties in the Brazos Valley until 10pm. The primary concern will be for large hail, but like the past couple days, a tornado or two cannot be ruled out either.

For the rest of the Brazos Valley, storms are generally expected to fall apart headed into this evening, but we may need to watch across central portions of the area (including B/CS) through midnight if storms are able to hold together longer than currently expected.

Storms are expected to dissipate as we head into the overnight hours. Latest updates can be found on-air, online, and on your KBTX Weather app.
