Staff was unfriendly, restaurants aren’t open late, casino was dirty, the bed was comfortable and room was clean though
Loved the updated rooms and the attention to detail, especially the extra space to sit down and do my makeup. I was really impressed with all of the staff. Normally, when hitting up touristy cities, it seems like it’s an inconvenience to employees when you ask for help but that was NOT the case at all at the Virgin Hotel. Unfortunately there are the daily resort fees, which seem ridiculous to me, especially in the winter months when you can’t really use the pool, but I don’t think there’s any way around the fees as it’s prob up to the city of Las Vegas. The hotel is about a 1 mile walk off The Strip, so you’re close enough to the excitement without being right in the middle of the madness. I also liked that the casino was not so enormous that you got lost in it, yet it still had all of the games that the mega casinos have. The live music at the bar, the Dunkin Donuts and the Mexican restaurant were all wonderful bonuses. I would 1000% stay there again!
Tired hotel. Can do much better.
I was pretty surprised how slow it was. Hardly anyone playing. Staff was great. My room was meh. They have these fancy light switches that are awful. My tv, the picture kept freezing up. And what bothered me the most was this chain on the balcony doors. So you could open them maybe three inches. Stupid. Awesome view over one of the pools and I can’t open the doors completely. Last thing, their room numbers. Confusing as fook. I was on the fourth floor, room number 20466. Yea try finding that when your walking sideways at 7 a.m. for a hotel that’s less than a year old, I dunno if there gonna make it. Sad, nice place, really nice restaurants, rooms are fine other than a few things.
The rooms are not soundproof and if you have a room anywhere near the pool it sounds like a rave in your room at 0700 when you’re trying to sleep. The staff is rude and has zero concern for guests' comfort. Came to the room after a night out and the room smelled like a campfire. There was no reason for them to run the log burning fire pits in the daytime w no guests even in the pool or event lawn area. All of my clothes stunk. I had a lot of hope in the hotel since it was newly purchased and remodeled by Virgin, unfortunately, I was underwhelmed at best.
