“Dad, I feel sick,” I pleaded, as we chugged along in our campervan en route to Rosslare to board the ferry to France. It was a hot day in July 1982 and we had barely left our house in Dublin.
“Not already, surely,” my dad moaned, telling me to roll the window down.
