Our reviewer could not help falling in love with the Dublin restaurant’s sumptuous dishes

"Well, since my baby left me / Well, I’ve found a new place to dwell / Well, it’s down at the end of Lonely Street at Heartbreak Hotel.” So sang the fantastic Elvis impersonator on a recent Sunday evening as I was eating, with gusto, authentic Nepalese momos in the new Diwali restaurant in Camden Street, Dublin.

This is the second branch of Nabaraj (Raj) Koirala’s Diwali — the original of which opened nearby in South Great George’s Street in 2007 — serving great Indian and Nepalese food. While Nepalese cuisine is similar to that of India, it has quite a few distinctive and tantalising regional dishes of its own derived from the country’s altitude and terrain.
