‘I’ve had tears streaming down my face when photographing a child’s birth’
Claire Wilson from Arklow captures the moment a baby is born with her camera and says her work is both demanding and deeply moving

“Child birth is one of the most powerfully emotional things you can photograph.
I’ve been doing it for almost 10 years now and I still get emotional during the final stages of labour. I was already photographing newborns in 2013 when I started to see some really powerful images of birth photography coming out of America and Australia.
