‘Unprecedented’ high rates of breastfeeding during lockdown linked to fewer allergies in infants

Academics who studied hundreds of children born during the Covid pandemic have discovered that breastfeeding rates soared as a result of lockdowns.

They tracked 365 infants born in two Dublin maternity hospitals from the first weeks of lockdown in 2020 until their second birthday.
