This stunning new exhibition takes you from the Old Library through the Long Room to the pavilion where a digital immersive journey transports visitors through the pages of the venerable manuscript and beyond. ClassicsNow 2024, where ideas of ancient Greece and Rome are interpreted by contemporary writers and artists will take place from February 2-4 at various Dublin locations. Highlights include a screening of Roberto Rossellini’s Journey to Italy, starring Ingrid Bergman and George Sanders and loosely based on Colette’s novel Duo; poet Seán Hewitt in conversation with Forward Prize-winner Fiona Benson about desire; and a rehearsed reading of Colin Murphy’s new adaptation of the Melian Dialogue.
