Personally, I think Daniel Craig sucks it hard as Bond. They turned him into a sad, boring version of Jason Bourne. What made the old Bond movies great were the comic-book style action sequences and one-liners from Connery, Moore and Brosnan (who was a brilliant Bond). Goldeneye was the last good Bond movie in my opinion. Just can't stand Craig's serious schtick.

First off THOR is NOT a paycheck role to Hopkins, he loved the script and like Branah as a director. back on topic, him as a bond villain would RULE.

Hopefully it's true. Hopkins is pure win.

@ sliceofbread88,

You're out of your element, Donny. Brosnan's Bond movies were starting to get to be the same-o, same-o tongue-in-cheek fare and Craig's Bond brought some life back into the series. The changing of the guard couldn't have come at a better time and I hope Craig sticks around for at least a few more movies.

You might be right about the movies getting same-y. I hadn't really paid much attention since Tomorrow Never Dies, which I didn't care for compared with Goldeneye. I did try to watch Casino Royale, and while the story was good, I just didn't dig Craig as Bond. Quantum of Solace, I haven't seen yet.

I would definitely recommend Quantum of Solace - might even be better than Casino Royale. Yeah, Craig doesn't exactly fit the traditional mold for Bond, but I think that's what the series needed to spice things up a little bit. If it's one thing Brosnan had going for him, it's that he was probably everyone's favorite pick to play the part of 007. Having said that, they really stepped up the physicality in Casino and Quantum and I doubt Brosnan could have handled it, even though he looks the part more than anyone.

There is no way Quantum of Solace was better then Casino Royale. Quantum wasn't bad but Casino Royale was one of the best reboot of recent date. Craig is perfect for a young Bond and Hopkins is a definite win as a villain!

Of course there's a way, or I wouldn't have brought it up. I guess sliceofbread88 will have to watch it and decide for himself.

i wonder if sir anthony will reprise his "hearts in atlantis" role in ron howards "dark tower" adaptation, as his character has a key role in the dark tower book.

After how abysmal QOS was I think having Hopkins on board would be a great idea personally & It would definitely redeem the 007 franchise. I mean for starters he's a very accomplished actor rather than some no name nobody playing the bad guy, I just hope he signs on the proverbial dotted line.
