How to Reach Enir-Ilim
Before you can get to Enir-Ilim, you must defeat Messmer the Impaler and Romina, Saint of the Bud. Take Messmer’s Kindling to the sealing tree behind Romina’s boss arena and burn the tree. You will be taken directly to Enir-Ilim.
Enir-Ilim Walkthrough
After the tree burning cutscene concludes you will find yourself on a balcony at the base of the castle, across from the Church of the Bud.
Activate the nearby site of grace, Enir-Ilim: Outer Wall, then proceed up the staircases behind.
This will bring you to Enir-Ilim proper. To your left is another staircase, patrolled by a bird warrior enemy. These guys are similar to the Horned Warriors, using their twinblades to execute long combos. If you have a shield you can get right up in its face and guard counter, otherwise just stand back and wait for the end of a combo to jump in with a quick attack or combo.
Go up the staircase the bird warrior was guarding. Make your way to the middle of this large new room and you will find another site of grace, First Rise.
Right next to the grace is a staircase that leads upward. Make your way up to the second floor of this room then out the door. This leads to a broken staircase where you will find a Somber Smithing Stone 5.
Next, go down the long staircase next to the site of grace which leads to a large elevator. Be sure to grab this Messmerfire Grease x2 as you walk past, then ride the elevator down. This leads back to the end of Belurat, Tower Settlement, where battled the Dancing Lion. You may remember this path was previously blocked off by the sealing tree.
On the west side of this room is a doorway leading to a staircase. This leads us to a series of platforms outside of the castle. Start by grabbing this item to your right, a Broken Rune.
Next, head into this building to the right. As you step inside an enemy will ambush from the right. These inquisitor enemies are quite weak, so just lay into them with light attacks and you should be able to kill them quickly.
In the back left corner of this room is a doorway obscured by a long branch. Hop over the branch and go out the door. Up the stairs you will find another inquisitor and an item, a Rune Arc.
Look off the balcony and you will see a plaza below that is absolutely full of enemies, including one giant inquisitor. Most of these enemies are too busy praying to notice you, so drop down quietly and try to get the attention of the big inquisitor first.
This guy is slow, but strong. He can attack by jumping on you, bumping you, breathing fire, or swinging his candle around. As usual if you have a shield just stand your ground, otherwise dodge his jump attacks then lay into him with charge attacks when he is vulnerable after. Kill him and he will drop a Revered Spirit Ash.
In the back corner of this platform you will see a staircase leading up, but first we need to explore the floor below. Check the area left of the stairs and you will find two more inquisitors and one item, Lightningproof Pickled Liver.
You will also notice a second staircase leading down, follow this staircase down to the floor below. Go left at the bottom of the stairs and you will see two Man-flies guarding an item, Thin Beast Bones x5.
Make your way to the other side of the tree where there are more Man-flies and another item, Whiteflesh Mushroom x3.
Behind the tree you will see this path that leads into the lower floor of the building we were in earlier. Climb up onto the roots on the right side of the path to find this item, Redflesh Mushroom x4, then drop down and go inside the building. Beware the Man-fly hiding below.
As you step inside the building a Man-fly will drop from above. Kill that one, then kill the three that are praying in front of the giant tree. Once they are all dead you can grab the item in front of them, another Revered Spirit Ash.
Backtrack to the platform where we battled the giant inquisitor, then go up the staircase in the back corner. These stairs are guarded by two more inquisitors who will start firing magic at you as soon as you approach. Try and rush them down as fast as you can to avoid letting them get too many spells off.
If you have any buffs, such as Golden Vow, use it now, then follow the path behind these inquisitors a little ways. You will eventually encounter a powerful new enemy, a Lion Warrior. Spoiler alert there are actually a few of these guys in Enir-Ilim, and each one possesses one of the elements of the Dancing Lion boss. This is the lightning Lion Warrior.
After powering up, he will start firing lightning attacks at you such as long range bolts and lightning waves along the ground. You want to approach him and get into melee range at which point his moveset will turn into that of a Horned Warrior, just a stronger version.
As usual we just want to stand back and wait for the Lion to exhaust his combo, then jump in with an attack. Don’t let yourself get backed into a corner. Keep an eye out for his very slow swings, which he takes a long time to wind up, which leave him very vulnerable. Same goes for the kick attack, when you see him lift his foot get ready to dodge then counter with an attack of your own.
Unfortunately this is not a unique enemy, so if you kill him and die after you will have to deal with him again. Thankfully we are pretty close to the grace, so lets be careful from here. Before you go up the stairs behind the Lion, make your way over to this cracked corner of the walkway near where we came up the stairs.
From here you can drop to this tree branch, where you will immediately find a Furlcalling Finger Remedy.
Next, walk along the branch to the left which splits off a few times but ultimately leads you to this small platform where you will find an inquisitor and an item, the Spira spell.
From here you need to jump back to the tree branch, then follow it back to the path where we fought the Lion Warrior. Proceed toward the staircase that the Lion was guarding.
At the bottom of the stairs is an item, but it is a bit of a bait. As you go to grab it you will immediately be hit by a long range spell, which bursts from the ground below you. Ignore the item for now and run up the stairs, the spell cannot catch you as long as you move quick. About halfway up the stairs is the caster, a stationary inquisitor type enemy. Quickly rush and kill the enemy to put an end to the spells.
Go left from where the caster was sitting and you will find this item next to a broken staircase, a Drawstring Golden Grease. On the opposite side of this platform is a staircase leading to a new area, but we will come back to that later. Then go back to the bottom of the stairs and grab the item we left behind, a Dragonbolt Grease.
Then go back up the stairs to where the caster was standing. Behind is another set of stairs, and of course another long range caster enemy. Sprint up the stairs, grabbing the Fire Arrow x10 and Golden Bolt x10 as you pass by. Ignore the enemy at the top of the stairs and open the large doors.
Inside is another Miquella Cross, Scadutree Fragment, and the next site of grace, Spiral Rise.
With the grace active, we can now return to that area we skipped earlier. Return to the midway point of the staircase where we encountered that first long range spellcaster. Make your way to the side of the platform where the stairs are still intact, then go down into the chamber below where you will find the Inquisitor Ashes.
Instead of going back up, make your way to the opposite side of the platform where the stairs are broken and look down. You will see a staircase below that you can jump to. Drop down, then grab the item on the stairs, Fireproof Pickled Liver x2.
Make your way to the small chamber at the top of the stairs. There are no items here, but you will notice the railings on the back side are broken off. Make your way over to the edge and look down. You will see some small ledges you can drop to.
Time for some good old fashioned Souls platforming! From the ledge below the railing, drop down again to the ledges that run along the nearby wall. Make your way to the opposite end of the upper ledge to find an item, Holyproof Pickled Liver. Drop down again, where you will find Smithing Stone 8 x2.
Make your way to the opposite end of the ledge from the smithing stones and you will be able to drop down again onto a ledge that runs around a tower. Go right and you will find Lordsworn’s Bolt x10 at the dead end.
Drop off the ledge the bolts were on to the ledge below, then walk forward a little ways to where the path is cracked. Here you can drop down to the stairs below you and get into the tower where you will find a shadow and one item, Somber Smithing Stone 5.
Exit the tower and go down the stairs to find another item awaiting on a platform below, Golem’s Great Arrow x10. This looks like a dead end, but the platforming isn’t over yet.
Look down from the right side of the platform and you will see another tower below you with an open window on the side. You need to get a running start and jump toward the window to reach it.
Drop down from the windowsill and into the room below. The title card will let you know you have arrived back in Belurat. Exit this tower and you will immediately see a giant covered statue and an item to your left, a Scadutree Fragment.
Go past the covered statue and into the little tower on the opposite side of this platform. Inside is a small elevator. This will take you back up to Enir-Ilim, right by where we battled the Lion Warrior.
Go back down the elevator to where we found the Fragment, then go down the giant staircase in front of the statue which leads to a huge elevator. Ride this elevator down.
Go down the stairs in front of the elevator and outside. Go down the stairs to your right which leads you to a chamber with three inquisitors inside. Take care of them, then exit out the door on the opposite side which leads to a long staircase. Of course this staircase just has to be guarded by another Lion Warrior. Buff yourself up, then deal with him in the same manner as the previous one.
Make your way down the stairs, then down the next set of stairs inside the tower at the bottom which bring you to yet another elevator. Ride this elevator down. It spits you out onto a short bridge above the sewers of Belurat.
Go straight ahead and open the door on the other side of the bridge. Inside is your grand prize for completing all that platforming, the legendary twinblade Euporia. Open your map and warp back to the Spiral Rise to continue exploring Enir-Ilim.
Spiral Rise
From the site of grace, go up the nearby spiral staircase. This staircase leads to a dead end, so instead jump through this window to get onto the rooftop. Here you will see the second spellcaster who was bothering you on the stairs. Kill them, then go right.
This wraps around to a larger section of the roof, which is guarded by a bunch of gravebirds. Approach them slowly, killing them one by one. If you aggro too many of them at once they will overwhelm you with their spells.
Once the roof is clear you can climb the raised section of roof by the right side wall to find an item, Smithing Stone 8 x2.
Next make your way to the back of the roof where you can jump onto a connected balcony.
Ahead is one more gravebird, and one inquisitor. Enter the small building to the left and grab the item inside, a Revered Spirit Ash.
Exit the room and go up the stairs ahead. Instead of going to the top, look down from the side of the staircase and you will see another set of stairs directly below you. Jump over the railing and drop to them. Grab the item from the bottom of the stairs, a Silver Horn Tender.
Go up the stairs and into the building at the top. Inside are three items, Horned Warrior Ashes, Stanching Boluses, and Neutralizing Boluses x2.
Go through the door on the right and up the ladder inside. This leads us up to a balcony that overlooks the next section of roof, where we would have ended up had we followed the intended path. Grab the item from the broken ledge, a Golden Horn Tender.
Go up the nearby ladder which brings us up to the top of this structure. There is no item here, but if you look down you will see a Lion Warrior below. This Lion primarily uses ice magic. Either kill him with ranged attacks from above, or buff yourself up and drop down to battle him. His moveset is mostly similar to the other Lion Warriors, except he has Hoarfrost Stomp which sends ice across the ground. You can avoid these ground targeted spells by jumping over them.
Once the Lion is dead you can explore the rest of the roof. First head over to the tower on the left with has an item inside, a Scadutree Fragment.
Exit the room and go forward where you can find another item in the back left corner of the rooftop, Sunwarmth Stone x2.
Now climb up the rooftops near where the Lion was patrolling. This leads you back into the main tower, at the top of the broken stairs from earlier.
Go down the stairs slightly to find an item at the edge, Somber Smithing Stone 6.
Turn around and make your way to the top of the stairs where you will encounter a couple more inquisitors and a new elevator. Kill the enemies then ride the elevator down.
This takes us to a platform in the middle of the tower. Go out the door and down the stairs directly ahead. Here you will encounter another one of those fast moving omen enemies. If you have a good shield you can stand your ground and guard counter, otherwise just try and run away and wait for the end of a combo or a punishable attack, like the aerial grab or two weapon slam.
Once the omen is dead you can exit out the other door which leads to a broken staircase. Grab the item from the edge of the staircase, a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
Backtrack and go back up the elevator. As you ascend look down and you will notice a large altar with an item on top of it. As the elevator goes up or down, you can jump off and onto the altar to retrieve the item, the Gravebird Helm.
Go back to the top of the elevator for real, then up the nearby staircase and out the door. This leads us to a much larger outdoor platform where we will encounter the final Lion Warrior, this one using mostly wind magic. The game considers this a significant enough battle to let you summon a Spirit Ash if needed.
The Lion Warrior will not run at you immediately, so I recommend hiding behind one of the statues on the left side of the platform and casting all of your buffs. Once you are ready pop out and face him. Thankfully this Lion is nearly the same as the previous ones, and the wind magic doesn’t really help him out. Defeating the Lion gets you the Horned Warrior’s Greatsword. Thankfully this Lion will not respawn.
Go up the stairs behind the Lion to reach a new site of grace, Cleansing Chamber Anteroom, and find another Scadutree Fragment.
Needle Knight Leda Boss Guide
Exit through the door on the left and go up the stairs which leads us to a giant room where Needle Knight Leda is waiting for us. This is a non-combat area, so approach her and listen to her dialogue. Once she wraps up her speech, you will notice an invasion sign appear on the ground. We cannot progress further until we defeat Leda and her allies.
Which NPCs Appear in the Fight Against Needle Night Leda?
The characters you’ll encounter during this fight will depend on the choices you’ve made for their particular questlines. Some can appear as allies, while others will fight you alongside Leda as your adversaries. Here are the people you can potentially encounter and what triggers those outcomes:
- Dryleaf Dane - Adversary no matter what you do, along with Leda.
- Moore - Adversary if you choose "put it behind you" in his questline.
- Redmane Freyja - Adversary if you choose to give her the letter from Ansbach.
- Hornsent - Adversary if you don't summon him for Messmer and kill him during the invasion at the Ancient Ruins of Rauh.
- Thiollier - Ally if you complete his quest, revealing St. Trina's words to him.
- Ansbach - Ally if you give him the scroll during his questline.
Depending on which storylines you completed, this can be an incredibly lopsided battle. At minimum, make sure you summon Noble Sanguine Natan and a Spirit Ash or Mimic Tear to help even the odds. Try to break up the fight so you can face the NPCs one on one while the others are distracted, or wait until a foe is distracted then attack while their guard is down.
Defeating Leda and co. gets you Leda's Sword. After the battle you will be teleported back to your own world where the corpses of all the NPCs you defeated are scattered around the room. Try to hold in your tears as you loot all their bodies for their Weapons and Armor sets.
Exit via the door at the back of the room where you will find the final corpse, Leda’s. Loot Leda’s corpse to get one last item, Leda’s Armor. Head up the stairs opposite Leda which lead us to another elevator.
This elevator brings us to the top of the castle where we will find the final site of grace, Divine Gate Front Staircase. At the top of these stairs is the final boss of Enir-Ilim, so get prepared to face one of our old adversaries once again…
Preparing for Promised Consort Radahn
Due to the high difficulty of this boss, we recommend you reach rune level 180-200. You will want 60 vigor, two nearly capped damage stats, and as much Endurance as you can spare.
The Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman and Golden Braid are highly recommended for this battle. You need as much defense as possible, and the Holy resistance is invaluable against all the small holy damage he inflicts.
If you use a shield, it needs to be a strong one to withstand his most powerful swings. The Fingerprint Shield is the most popular choice, but you will likely need to pair it with a ton of Endurance and the Arsenal Jar Talisman unless you don’t mind a slow roll. Make sure you have a weapon with good range for guard countering.
It is also highly recommended that you use some type of status effect damage here, if not multiple. Radahn is most susceptible to Frostbite and Scarlet Rot. Radahn can Bleed, but his resistance to it is high. Make sure all your gear is at least +24/+9.
Make sure to bring along useful items or buffs. Golden Vow and Flame Grant Me Strength are always good, as are items like Boiled Crab. Make sure your Physick is set with buffs that complement your playstyle, whether that be all out offense (Stonebarb Cracktear, Spiked Cracktear) or a strong defense (Opaline Hardtear, Crimson Bubbletear).
If you have not yet defeated the Scadutree Avatar, make sure you go take care of it before starting this fight. The Avatar drops Miquella's Great Rune, which can be used to dispel the charm attack Radahn uses in phase two.
You will probably find yourself wanting to try multiple different builds and strategies as you learn this fight. This is a good time to back up your save, and learn how to copy and replace your save. Last thing you want is to run out of Larval Tears or consumables and be stuck on a build.
Last but not least, if you are the type of person who never uses Rune Arcs or Spirit Ashes, this might be the fight to set your pride aside. The extra health and help can make a massive difference in such a relentless battle. Make sure your Spirit Ashes are +9 or +10 and you have used all your Revered Spirit Ashes.
Promised Consort Radahn Boss Guide
So here it is, the final boss of the Shadow of the Erdtree and most likely the hardest challenge FromSoft has ever cooked up. Even at 15 Scadutree Blessing Radahn can wipe you out in a single combo, and your attacks barely seem to scratch his massive health bar. This is going to be a major test of your patience, and an execution test that puts even the great Malenia to shame.
Radahn will almost always start the fight with his gravity cyclone attack. He points his swords upwards, charging them with gravity energy, then flies through the air to slam on top of you.
This is the easiest attack to avoid, simply roll into him at the moment of impact (he pauses in the air for a split second above you) then you can attack him as he stands back up.
This is one of three attacks he can do from afar. Another is Lion’s Claw, where Radahn will slam both his swords into the ground, launching himself in the air toward you. Again, just roll into him just before he lands on you and you can attack. Just be ready, because he sometimes does two of these in a row.
The final ranged attack is the gravity well. Radahn crouches down, charging his swords with gravity magic, before letting out a roar and pulling you toward him. This attack is very easy to dodge by just rolling in any direction as he roars, but the punish if he catches you is painful, so do your best not to be caught off guard by this. If you do get pulled, start running away or rolling away immediately. It is your best chance to avoid the gravity magic that he unleashes around him afterwards.
Once you are in melee range, it is time to memorize Radahns wide variety of sword combos. These range from single swings, to 5 or 6 hit combos. They all deal physical damage so if you have a good shield and enough stamina you can guard counter your way to victory, but you will probably see this fight so many times it will become second nature, so learning the dodge patterns can also be useful.
His simplest attack is his cross slash. Radahn crosses his arms, then slashes both swords forward while stepping back. Roll into the slashes to end up in front of Radahn, you can hit in an attack while he recovers.
There’s an alternate version of this where Radahn does two alternating horizontal slashes, then follows it up with the cross slash. This version has almost complete coverage and deals way more damage. Make sure you dodge toward Radahn as the third swing comes out, you can attack a few times as he regains composure.
Below is a list of Radahn’s many sword combos, many of which look the same or even are the same, with small variations:
- If Radahn begins with a single slash from the left side, he will then gather both swords for a slow slow double slash. Wait out the delay then roll into the big slash before attacking.
- Radahn waves his sword above his head, then does a vertical slash. After a short delay, he does a two hit combo with his other sword. Dodge into the first slash, then dodge twice in quick succession to avoid the combo before attacking.
- Radahn starts off with a quick slash from the left side, then follows with a quick slash from the right. After a delay, he sweeps left to right with both swords, then does a full turnaround and sweeps again.
- Radahn starts with a two swing combo, right to left, then does a double sword sweep, left to right, then follows it with another double sword sweep, left to right. Keep your eye out though! Radahn will occasionally add one last attack to the end of this combo, a right to left double sweep. Always be on your toes, and don’t attack or heal until you see him return to his normal stance.
The longest, most punishable combo is the stomp combo. Radahn starts with a ground shattering stomp, then proceeds to swing four times before ending the combo with a small area quake. You want to start by rolling into the stomp at the last possible second, to avoid the stomp and shockwave. Dodge roll once to avoid the follow up swing, then pause before rolling twice in a row to avoid the two sweeps.
Pause again while you wait for the overhead slam, then roll one last time as Radahn pulls his swords from the ground to avoid the shock. This attack has a long cooldown, so get in 2-4 attacks at the end.
There is also a version of this where he does not start with a stomp, instead beginning it with the overhead swing. The rest of the combo is the same.
When Radahn points both swords skyward, he is about to do a very VERY slow, very strong two hit combo. After pointing upward, Radahn slowly swings both swords down and does a horizontal sweep, then follows it up with a slow vertical smash. You need to avoid both of these swings by dodging into them, but if you get hit by the first you are guaranteed to get hit by the second.
An attack we don’t want to see is his bloodflame slash. Radahn pokes his sword forward, then slashes horizontally, leaving behind a blood trail that explodes a moment later (similar to Mohg’s). You can avoid all of this by rolling toward and behind Radahn, the problem is he always follows this attack up immediately with another melee attack, meaning it is very hard to punish.
His final attack is his rock throw. Radahn charges his swords with gravity magic, digging them into the ground, then slashes upwards, flying into the air surrounded by an array of rocks. The best option here is to just dodge roll away, first dodge roll away from the initial dig, then dodge again as he pulls the rocks from the ground. They have a surprisingly wide range, so don’t assume you are safe!
From here, Radahn floats in the air for a moment before sending the rocks at you. As soon as you see him throw the rocks, begin running left or right. Then, jump or roll just as the rocks are about to hit you to avoid them.
Occasionally, Radahn will do a dash/strafe while up close. If you see him do this, you want to roll or run away from him to create some distance. If you do this, he will almost always use Lions Claw, allowing you to easily punish him.
Keep yourself healthy, especially as he approaches 60% health. As soon as you deal enough damage, phase 2 will trigger instantly.
Radahn, Consort of Miquella Boss Guide
The start of phase two is not 100% consistent, but Radahn will usually start with his massive holy blast. He will sort of t-pose and lift off the ground, and a golden circle will start to grow outward from where you are standing. You need to start running out of the circle the instant it begins forming to escape this attack, and even then you will barely make it. Once the explosion goes off you have just enough time to use a heal or a buff before Radahn comes back down to the ground.
If you react too slowly and won’t be able to escape, your best bet is probably just to heal up and accept your fate. Wait at Radahn’s feet, that way you can at least get 1 or 2 attacks in as he comes back down. He will use this throughout the battle, so be ready to run at any moment you see him hit that t-pose.
If you want to inflict Scarlet Rot on Radahn, this moment is probably your best opening. As Radahn is lifting into the air you can throw two Rot Pots at him. After the explosion, get up immediately and you can throw a third just before he lands. This will be just enough to inflict Rot.
In phase two, almost all of Radahn’s sword swings are followed by an array of light beams which deal small amounts of holy damage, but more annoyingly, can stagger you slightly, allowing Radahn to hit you with a more powerful attack. These light arrays also make it much harder to see Radahn’s movements, so hopefully you memorized all his combos from phase one because a lot of times you will be dodging them from memory. Oh, and the time between attacks seems to be reduced as well.
The good news is, if you have memorized the phase one combos, then all you need to do differently is make sure you dodge diagonally toward Radahn whenever he attacks. This will place you at his side and avoid the light arrays that spawn in front of his attacks, and let you continue your dodge patterns like normal. It looks overwhelming, but as long as you dodge the exact same way you did in phase one, you can dodge the combos here as well.
There are some new quirks to be aware of, though. For example, the stomp combo now ends with a blast of light rays that radiate outward. You always need to dodge toward Radahn to avoid this one.
Another is the three hit cross slash from phase one, it is now even deadlier than before due to the light arrays. This attack is way way too risky to try and punish in my opinion, I recommend just dodging away even if it means taking a small bit of damage. Heal up while Radahn regains composure, it is much better than dying instantly.
In phase two Radahn has a new type of attack, his lightspeed slashes. For these, Radahn sends out a barrage of illusions of himself that attack you, before he himself appears to land the final blow. These attacks are incredibly disorienting, but the key is to realize that the illusions deal very little damage. You can try to dodge them but the timing is very hard. I found it easier to just let him hit me until I saw the real Radahn (non-transparent), then dodged the last hit.
One instance of this is the rock throw. The first part of the attack is exactly the same as in phase one, but after the rocks hit the ground Radahn will follow them with a lightspeed swing. There will be four Radahn illusions, then Radahn himself. Listen and watch closely, as soon as you hear/see the fourth illusion, roll forward three times. This will dodge the real Radahn’s slam, the light array, and the area explosion at the end.
Another is very similar, but instead of the rock throw Radahn will simply leap into the air and glow golden before sending his illusion barrage. Of course, this one has to be a little different. In this case the illusions have a little space between their swings, and you can actually avoid them by rolling in time or simply running away. After the fourth illusion the real Radahn will come down, so you need to dodge roll his swing as well, then be ready to dodge again because he will almost always combo off of that swing. If you are really fast and can get underneath the attack there is a chance he will simply go right over your head and you end up behind him, but this takes some lucky timing.
When Radahn raises both his swords up in the air (sort of in a baseball swing pose), he is about to do a lightspeed dash. He will send his barrage of illusions in a straight line toward you, before ripping past you himself. You can sort of see the line of attack as the illusions start flying, so dodge away from the path to avoid the final hit. There is also a light array that follows behind him, but it deals pretty negligible damage. Dodging the main dash attack itself is more important.
The final lightspeed slash variant is the easiest to deal with. Radahn will do a strafe/dash, but not toward you. This dash is a bait, and instead his illusion will come at you, doing a single swing. As soon as the illusion fades, Radahn will follow it up, doing the same attack. There is only one illusion in this case, so all you need to do here is dodge twice toward the attacks, first the illusion then Radahn. You can fit in an attack after.
The best attack we can get is Radahn’s grab. Radahn will slightly crouch down, his hands glowing gold before jumping toward you. You need to roll toward or away from the grab as he comes down, then you can attack once. If you get grabbed, Miquella will place a symbol on your head. If you get grabbed again, you will be "killed" instantly. You can remove this symbol by using Miquella's Great Rune. This is one of the slowest attacks he has, so be sure to use the opening to attack or heal.
Phase two Radahn is also sporting some new ranged attacks. One is his ring of light. Radahn will point one sword upward, charging it with holy light, then swings to throw out a slow moving ring of light. This attack feels like a bit of a bait because of how slow it is. Make sure you wait until the ring is almost at you before dodging through it. Radahn will usually follow this up with some other attack, so be ready to react immediately after.
Another is his light blast. His swords become charged with light, as he points one left and one upward. He then slashes, sending light radiating out in all directions. This is a mult-hit holy attack that covers pretty much the whole arena, dodge roll toward Radahn as he unleashes the attack to avoid it. Just like the light ring, he usually follows this up right away with something else.
Then there is the gravity well, which begins the same way as in phase one, but now ends with a long illusion barrage attack. Once again, my best advice is just to not get hit. The series of attacks that follows is so brutal, your best bet is just to try and run away and heal through it
Of course, he also has to have one new melee super combo. When you see Radahn raise both swords above his head into a cross shape, he is about to unleash his new combo. He will dash toward you, then do two slashes in quick succession. After a short delay, he does a sweep with both swords. Then there is another delay before he leaps into the air, then comes crashing back down to earth, unleashing a light array around him. Of course, all of these swings are also followed with little light arrays of their own.
The dodge pattern here is two quick dodges, pause, one dodge to avoid the double sweep, wait for the jump, then three dodges in a row to avoid the small light array, slam attack, then the big light array. If you dodge it all successfully you can fit in 3-5 attacks as he regains composure.
At about 30% health, Radahn will leap into the air just like he did in his fight from the main game. When you see him jump, take a look around the arena. You want to start running toward the farthest away point you can reach from where he took off. When Radahn comes back down you want to be as far away from the explosion as possible, heal up, then patiently wait for his next action.
From here, he has no new tricks. Keep up whatever worked for you up to this point and try to deplete that last chunk of his health. If you can manage to get a second round of Scarlet Rot on him you can just delay and let the poison do the job for you.
If you succeed you will be rewarded with the Remembrance of a God and a Lord and 500,000 runes. You also get access to the DLC’s final cutscene, and get the Let Us Go Together gesture and the Circlet of Light headgear.
