Water samples from 100 govt schools in Mohali fail purity test

A total of 538 water samples were collected from across Mohali, with special focus on hotspots such as a Jujhar Nagar, Bar Majra, Boothgarh and other villages near Gharuan from where water-borne diseases are regularly detected

Special NIA court denies bail to ‘KLF member’

Mohali MC directs 83 bulk generators to manage waste as per rules

Mohali municipal corporation had earlier in March issued notices to the societies and bulk waste generators, where compost units were found unmaintained, including civil hospital, Phase 6, PUDA Bhawan, Phase 8, Phase-1 dispensary and Mohali Golf Range, Phase 11, besides private schools and hotels

After special DGP’s intervention, files cleared, Mohali CCTV project on fast track

The ambitious project, as part of which 216 automatic number plate recognition cameras, 104 bullet cameras, 63 red-light violation detection cameras and 22 pan, tilt and zoom cameras, are to be installed at vulnerable points in the city, aims to bring down road mishaps and save precious lives. It will also help in nabbing criminals.

Kharar civil hospital:Surprise raid reveals no doctor at mother-child unit at night

The two doctors available for this unit work in the morning shift from 8 am till 2 am. “We handle normal delivery cases and only call doctors if required at night. They come on call,” a contractual nurse told the SDM during checking.
