QScript

Multiple Scheduled Outages / Planned Maintenance

The QScript vendor has advised Queensland Health of the need to perform maintenance activities in the coming days. As a result, QScript may not be accessible at certain times during the following outage windows (all AEST):

  • Thu 4 July 2024 between 9.00 pm and 5.00 am the following day
  • Sun 7 July 2024 between 8.00 am and 3.00 pm (registration portal only)
  • Tue 9 July 2024 between 9.00 pm and 5.00 am the following day

If you are unable to check QScript when required (e.g. due to a QScript outage) you should:

  • make a clinical judgement about appropriate treatment based on the information available to you
  • document that you were unable to access QScript and the reason why.

The decision on whether to prescribe or supply a monitored medicine for a patient remains with you (as the relevant practitioner) at all times, regardless of whether you have been able to access QScript.

QScript look-up exemptions in effect from 1 July 2024

From 1 July 2024, relevant practitioners are exempt from the legislative requirement to check QScript in specified low-risk circumstances. For more information, please view the:
