After years of meetings, the Greater Hazelwood Neighborhood Plan was approved by City Council in November 2019.

If you are interested in having a greater part in guiding the direction of Hazelwood Initiative by becoming a board member, then you should familiarize yourself with the bylaws!

Since the Covid-19 pandemic closures began in 2020, montly meetings have been done virtually over Zoom. Here are the meeting slides.

This was the initial plan for development of the former LTV coke works site (previously the Jones & Laughlin steel mill). During the early planning stages, it was known as the ALMONO site but is now known as Hazelwood Green. It is slated to become Pittsburgh's newest tech hub with additional housing planned for the riverfront.
