Annual GO Spring Benefit

The annual GO Spring Benefit is an opportunity for our Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn communities to come together to celebrate student and family achievement, bring awareness to the need for educational equity in our city, and raise critical support for GO Project programs.

Spring Benefit 2024

This year's event took place at Pier Sixty on Tuesday, May 14th where nearly 500 of our GO community helped us raise $1.37 million to support and expand GO Project programs that help New York City public school students thrive at the earliest stages of their education. We were proud to shine well-deserved spotlights on our 2024 honorees -- Cerberus Capital Management and Dr. Darlene Cameron -- and to celebrate our students' journeys to success in school and beyond that start at GO.

The GO Project Spring Benefit returned to Pier Sixty in NYC on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, where the GO community raised a record $1.2 million to support the educations of hundreds of New York City public school students. The event celebrated Brookfield Properties and Tishana Nelson for their dedication to the mission of equity in education, and it highlighted the impact a community of 500 supporters can have on the academic goals of GO students. In the words of Kavion, Donnell, and Davon, "one thing that GO Project shows us is that we are all smart."

On April 26, 2022, at Pier Sixty in NYC, the GO Spring Benefit raised an incredible $1.1 million for GO Project's year-round academic and family support programs. Back in person, the celebration spotlighted our students, teachers, and families, and honored Dan and Melissa Berger, whose remarks demonstrated just how much our community impacts our students. One of them, Lanese Mejia, stole the show with her speech and had the audience in tears. Watch it here

On May 18, 2021, the GO Project Spring Benefit celebrated a year of student resilience and achievement. The one hour virtual event raised $750,000 to support year-round academic and family support services. We are so grateful to John King for sharing his insights on education equity and to the Dejoie Family for sharing how GO has made an impact on their lives during the pandemic. Thank you for joining us from everywhere for our special night!
