olivia is starting

basically i am hyper fixating on this series since watching dune part 2 and it's the only thing i can bring myself to read so....

i will say i am having a much better time the second time around

I keep asking myself "what is Frank Herbert trying to say" and at 400 pages in, I feel like I'm finally starting to get a sense of the big picture. I don't know if I'll continue this series, but I don't think it's fair to judge solely based on the first book because I'm getting the sense that it barely scratches the surface. Thematically complex and difficult to digest, but interesting nonetheless.
