WALTER J KNAPP, a veteran of the United States Navy, graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, with a degree in history. He has concentrated his research on Native American studies for over three decades. Recently, he was an instructor of Native American History and Culture at The University of North Georgia Continuing Education Department. He is currently Vice President of the Georgia Trail of Tears Association. After twenty years in the world of banking and finance, he expanded his interests to include freelance writing.
