I sat down to start reading Saxual Healing last night and wasn't able to focus at all, as my neighbours were having multi-orgasm-fuck-me-that's-the-loudest-sex-I've-ever-heard-why-don't-they-shut-the-fucking-window for well over two hours. No Lynch yet tho Mullholland Drive was next!! I do agree with "the hipsters" on Von trer, and heneke not sure, I liked la pianist but Amour was fucking agony!! took me 3 days to finish it because I just fall asleep after 10 mins :DBut generally I like more the odd films oout from a late night going through imdb lists than following "The Directors" and the occasional dark comedy GAAHH .. now this convo has gone too smart for me to be in it- I'll go watch some Mindy Project :D

Yeah I agree! The funny thing is they're both good books! Like Animal Collective is a great band and Spike Jonze a great director. They (all hipsters) got Lynch wrong though, only about half of the first season of Twin Peaks was any good, and maybe Blue Velvet- everything else though?? Have you seen Mulholland Drive? Eraserhead? Eugh those films suck, haha!!

I really love these choices- just goes to show DFW remains the people's least popular writer for the people haha!!
Easy to see why he's been surrounded by pretention- you can usually spot the hipsters by how much they claim to "enjoy" reading DFW, but maybe you'd agree that there's not much "enjoyable" about it :P

Cats like boxes way too small for them. Part of the deal for cats is putting up with their human's projected wants and desires. Although, I think my cat would like the Indy bridge and taking that high ground.
