Keri L. Sparks lives in Wisconsin with her storybook-looking dog Fable and her socially-awkward and possibly sociopathic cat Sushi. She loves book sales, especially good deal, library book sales, and is currently struggling to find more shelf space for her ever growing accumulation of books.

(She used to have a FB but has ignored it for so long that she is pretty sure it got "archived").

I don't have an issue with it, I just don't want to do it myself. I become too stressed by the idea of trying to write someone else's characters, world, and story but with my own twist on it. Mostly because most fictional worlds I wouldn't want to live in (probably because they seem too scary what with unlorraly beasts, rules I don't understand, and usually some all powerful being terrorizing the people).

But if I were to have a guide from that world to show me around (one who was tall, hot, and super powerful himself hehehe) then I suppose I would like to go to . . . is it bad of me to wish to see my own fictional world of Alvea? I would love to see the blue-haired people. And the redheads. And the yellows . . .and all the colors in between. I would want to travel around with a Master Wizard since that would be my best bet to see the most in a short amount of time (plus they get to go and do all the interesting stuff).

Otherwise, it's really hard to say what other fictional world I would want to go to. I'm not much of a traveler when I don't know if it will be safe, and all those non-Earth worlds don't appear to be very safe, what with dark magic running amuck, monsters out to eat everyone, bad guys taking over the land, weapons with a mind of their own. I prefer to leave all that stuff to the main character and I just experience it from the safety of my own couch. XD(less)

The Princess's Heroes

I published (finally) the illustrated short story The Princess's Heroes! Right now it is only available as a kindle, but if you hurry up and go on Amazon, you can purchase it for free! The promotion ends on Feb 13, 2023 so there are only five days to get it.

The story will also be published as an illustrated paperback, hopefully within the week. I am waiting for my proof copy to come in. I am not Read more of this blog post »
