Nick Younker spent twenty years working in local and national media. After transitioning from television to online journalism, he now pursues work solely in dark fiction and satire.

With the exception of his debut novel, Nick focuses his work on short stories and novellas drafted in Grunge Narrative style. His dominant influences in literature are novelists like Palahniuk, Sedaris, Spanbauer, Hempel, Larsson, Blatty, Chabon, Blackwood, Bukowski and Gabriella Coleman. Lyrical influences include Cobain, Vedder, Springsteen, Jett, Hetfield, Hendrix, Morrison and Roky Erickson.

He's spent most of his life in Southern Indiana, excluding three years in Atlanta working for CNN and several off/on years in Seattle.
