How do you get inspired to write?

I thought if one is currently dealing with or has dealt with an ED then th…moreI was inspired to write this book because I thought it could be beneficial. I thought if one is currently dealing with or has dealt with an ED then this book could help the reader feel less alone. Many people who struggle with ED feel like nobody understands them or what they went through. I wanted the reader to feel like "oh hey it's not just me". I know our stories could be and probably are different, I might have struggled in ways the readers didn't or vice versa but to have a general feeling of not being alone in their disease. I also wanted to write this book for the family members of loved ones struggling could try to understand. During my struggles I was always asked "what goes thru your head" At the time it drove me crazy because it made me feel like I was crazy but now being in a better place I understand that my family was just trying to learn so they could better help me. So, I wanted to write from experience to help people understand what it could be like with someone struggling. What better way to do that than to use my own journal entries so you get a glimpse of eating disordered thoughts could feel like. (less)
