"Not too far in, but so it's at least holding my interest. An uncommon things these days. Although I'm beginning to suspect this is going to be all political intrigue stuff, which isn't really a fave of mine."

"This may end up being good, but it isn't Steampunk. Not set in a Victorian-era like place at all."

"So far a decent read, even with the danger signs of a love triangle looming..."

"There are some gadgets that'd be at home in Steampunk, but really this is not Steampunk."

"Oh good, publicly accusing each other of a crime when neither has any actual evidence is always a good idea ;)"

"From same character in same conversation, "...and thanks to you he probably died thinking I was a terrorist." :It wouldn't have made any difference, he'd still be dead."
Does it matter, or not matter? I'm so confused! ;)"

"The MC alternate between overreacting anger, sarcastic humor and reluctant friendliness. Might as well be a neon sign there's a romance coming. It's not terrible, but the dialog between them could have been more believable, and seem less contrived."

"The setting is a fictional place and a fictional society, and yet one of the characters used the phrase, "You piss me off..." LOL"

"Although it's not explicitly stated, from early on I'd assumed this society had electricity to some degree mostly due to the "wire ferries". Later there is a mention of a gaslight, and I thought well, hum, maybe they just have electricity for the big stuff. Now there's a mention of the "iridescent light". I'm so confused!"

"Occasionally there is travel in the city by hack, but zero mention of horses in the book. Are these horse driven? I don't know, and I kinda think I should."

"It may not sound like it from my status', but I do like this story. It just has a few *issues*. Like, I got to what seemed like the end, but yet there's more book left. A new thing has cropped up to solve. And really, I'm kinda done already."

I'm so glad I helped:)
It does go on a bit, after what feels like a tidy ending, and I was ready to stop at that point. If you feel like that too, do read the end. I think you'll be glad you did.
