╰┈➤ the writing in this book is phenomenal. it has such a magical feel to it; almost whimsical. i can’t even explain it but you would know what I’m talking about if you’ve read it. that being said please read it so you can experience this wonderful writing! i’m not exaggerating when i say this is some of the best writing I’ve ever read 😫 it does have a magical realism element to it and that’s mainly the whole driving point of the plot. it also takes place in NYC 🤭 now i usually hate insta love but I’ll give this book an exception. it almost made me believe in love at first sight (almost)

╰┈➤ I LOVE CLEMENTINE. she’s so funny. throughout the novel she’s dealing with some grief in her life and she doesn’t really want to open up to anyone. she spends her days working long hours at her publicist job trying to get her mind off of things. until one day her aunts magical apartment leaves a man standing in her kitchen 🤭 although she’s dealing with some grief, Iwan helps her open up and start to become more herself again 🥹 (i love clementines friends they’re hilarious 😭)


~ 𝑰𝒘𝒂𝒏 ~ 🍋

╰┈➤ i love funny couples together. they both match each other’s energy so well 😫 talk about true soulmates! it’s clementine and Iwan for sure. OMG HIS NICKNAME FOR HER 🥹 lemon. isn’t that so adorable or what 🤧 i myself love Iwan’s sense of humor 🫶🏼 and he’s so charismatic! he’s got the rizz guys 😏 (the cooking rizz that is) so ofc he’s a chef 🤭 he literally makes dinner for her all the time 😫 also I’ll mention his friends bc they are absolute sweethearts 🥹 i wanna go to “yo mama’s fajitas” so badly and I don’t even like Mexican food that much (I’m weird ik) we love Iwan <3

╰┈➤ i absolutely adored this book 🥹 i think i would’ve rated it higher if I hadn’t been so busy with exams 😔 but that just gives me an excuse to reread it 🤭 please read this if ur a fan of magical realism; as it will not disappoint!
