I expected this to be angstier, but I found it just moderatly emotional and even cheesy towards the end.
I really enjoyed the first half of the book, but the second half, after Jesse's return, not so much. I think it was pretty obvious who Emma would pick in the end. The reasons for it are valid, but also very convenient. It's like the author wanted to make sure that we would be ok with her choice in the end.
I'm fine with the way the story ended. But I wasn't fine with how Emma dealt with the situation she found herself in. I couldn't look past some decisions she made. And Sam and Jesse showing that much understanding? I didn't find it believable.

I know, you can't believe I'm complaining about that, as well. 😂
I love this author, but I’ve never been inclined to try this, because I know I will hate the ending. I don’t care how much the author tries to convince me the right choice was made 😉 I’ve only ever watched Castaway once, because the resolution in that sucked for me 😂 Sorry it wasn’t a hit like some of her others, Snjez. Great review ❤️

The good news is that it didn't. 😂 The only other book I've read by her is the Evelyn Hugo one and I loved it. 😊
I'm glad it wasn’t as angsty as you feared, but unbelievable and too convenient decisions by authors are hard to overlook and lower the reading enjoyment a lot :( Sorry this wasn't better, Snjez. ❤️
