Ria Raj Hey! I took a class on The 1,001 Nights and I thought i’d give you a little anti-colonial tip. Be careful which translation you read: avoid translations done by Sir Richard Burton and Antoine Galland. Most B&N classics are translated by Sir Richard Burton. He’s a orientalist, and therefore his translations are often racist and sexist. Hussain Haddawy has a great translation that is true to the original stories. Malcolm and Ursula Lyons also have a good translation but I prefer Haddawy! Hope this helps 🥰

Darian Onaciu I have a really old version of the book (~ late 1800s) but it's still patiently waiting for me to pick it up.
Are you enjoying the stories?

D.J. Lang I echo Ria Raj. I read Sir Richard Burton's version...as an elementary school student! If my parents only knew the sex education I was getting in that book. Insert look of horror here!
