I was wondering if this one was going to be a hit or miss and, ugh, it's a miss for sure.
The plot is worst than icebreaker and, if you read icebreaker, you know that is saying a lot. At least with icebreaker there was decent 🌶️, but wildfire was meh. I found both Russ (MMC) and Rory (MFC) super annoying. They are extremely insecure to the point that is exhausting to read and in the end we see no development in the matter, (view spoiler).
There were so many new characters! The first couple of chapters were so hard to read and keep up with, I think for a romance this is unnecessary but that is personal opinion.
Not memorable but at least was a quick read, 1.5 stars ⭐️

Ugh, I didn’t like Icebreaker at all, and it sounds like I’m not missing anything here!

I truly wanted to give it a chance, specially since its an arc, but nope. Looking forward to your final review/thoughts on this!

Sounds like everything I didn’t like about Icebreaker. I couldn’t even finish that so definitely not even trying this one.

“They just end up insecure together” LOL! AND with a lot of rescued animals I might add. Yes, I completely agree with you about the lack of development. In Icebreaker what least we saw Anastasia going back to therapy. But the only character who got development was Russ’s dad.

I agree! I couldn’t get into it and the book just felt too long for the lack of actual PLOT 😞 after seeing all the hype, I was so disappointed. The author just took the whole praise thing and forced it into the book whenever she could LOL!
I 100% agree!!! Wayyyy too long and this book was sooooo bleh, I can’t hardly finish it and I finish everything… the side was very meh, too. Icebreaker at least had some interesting plot and spice. Not this one.

I was in a massive slump when I read this and it kind of made that even worse because at times I found it boring.
as someone who enjoys the book, i understand the reason 🙁
