Predictable and if I have to listen to that stepdaughter one more time I will lose my mind. When are we going to start writing psychological thrillers about cis het couples where the husband doesn't gaslight the wife and use her past trauma against her? Find an original plot device. What a waste of my time!

I feel this 100%. Similarly, I was talking to my partner recently about how in psychological thrillers, the female mc is ALWAYS painted as "crazy", no one ever believes them, they are continually gaslit, and they hardly ever stick up for themselves. Whenever it's a male mc, this never happens!

YESSSS! It's getting so unbelievably old!
The gaslighting was just way too much!!!! Your wife just had a baby and your talking to her like that is insane!!! I also don’t like how Joanne went from distrusting to the point she was being called crazy to moving in after the house scene. Like wtf
