I feel a bit torn about this book. Some parts were really good, but some just dragged on. A fellow reviewer wrote that suddenly everything happened at once, with long pauses in between. I agree, the build-up was sometime too long. The twists were decent, and I was surprised. But I couldn’t quite buy into it.

I really liked this book, however I felt all the twists I had guessed ahead of time and I was right about all, but one.
I guess I’ve become a bit picky from all the guess-who books I’ve read. I like being surprised and was somewhat, but not enough :) glad you enjoyed it!

I was bored to tears with this one. In fact, I got a beautiful hardback copy and I just want to gift it. I couldn’t stand their whole witch fantasy game thing they played.
So sad to hear that it was a DNF when you had a beautiful exemplar! Maybe it will make a perfect gift though 🥳
