Karin Slaughter never fails to hook me with her dark tales! While I’m sad that I have to wait for another book in the fantastic Will Trent and Sara Linton series, it was nice revisiting the characters first introduced in Pieces of Her (now a limited series on Netflix). This sequel starts off with high suspense and keeps building as the plot goes back and forth between past and present. It’s dark and perfectly plotted…and I’ve got to say I absolutely loved the character, Bible. He’s a badass U.S. Marshal with tons of witty lines.

Here’s hoping there will be a third book in the series!
