Author Leslie Tall Manning, in her novel, Riles of Falling, has the unique talent of creating vivid engaging characters and setting these people into fascinating settings. The main character, Erica O'Donnell a high school senior suffers from syncope, temporary loss of consciousness caused by a fall in blood pressure. This condition influences her world and relationships. Erica is at the center of dramatic events, which Manning tells with such talent, that it feels all too real. A great read.
