60 pages in and then i DNFed. world building is literally shit in this book.
i wanted to read this book just in case i accidentally bumped into Timothée or Zendaya but i really tried being ✨that bitch✨ but ✨that bitch✨ was not trying to be me. horrible, unreadable, and should be illegal
but think about it, if this book was written by a woman i just know i’d be able to actually read it cover to cover. never again

Tbh, I actually liked it, I gave it 5 stars. But I respect your opinion. It's ok to not like some books, but your review kind of bothered me, cuz u said so many bad things about it without even finishing it.
I'm actually so proud that I was able to finish this book haha, tbh everything only clicked in and was actually cool within the last 200 pages, I hope the movie does it justice 💛
Omg lol. I DNFed after page 100 or so
I started this book before seeing the film and NOTHING, I must say that it’s easier to read it AFTER watching the movie especially with the soundtracks !! (Bonus the second and the third book are ✨👌🏻)
P.s. Just wanna say hi!! Really appreciate your review and videos 💙💙

I say just watch one of those short couple minute summaries on youtube were they roast it and make fun of it the whole time but still give you a run down about it

i honestly don’t understand these comments. there are millions of books out there to read, so why spend time on something you don’t enjoy? as a general rule, if i don’t like a book 50 pages in i dnf, but sometimes ive dnfed as little as 10 pages in. this book is so long and reading a book with bad world building can be excruciating. not everyone’s opinion is the same, it’s HER review, so just respect it. thank you for the honest review

Ali Hazelwood (author of The Love Hypothesis) literally has a Ph.D. in neuroscience?? Don't call female authors 11-year-old girls and imply that they're not smart - that's gross and your misogyny is showing.
Also, how are you going to criticize someone for their reading preferences/taste, something which is completely SUBJECTIVE and then say "to each their own"? You're contradicting yourself.

Guys it is what it is. I think she gave it a huge chance by reading 50 pages. I usually give up a chapter or two in if I don’t like it. It’s not her taste and that’s FINE
the way fans of this book are frothing at the mouth in this comment section defending frank herbert you'd think he was paying their bills. "yOu OnLy ReaD 60 PaGeS hOw DarE yOu" bestie i hate to tell you this but if it's been 60 pages and the author STILL hasn't made you invested in the story...that's not a good sign
the amount of people who are so immensely pressed over this review never fails to make me laugh,, y’all really gonna attack someone bc they didn’t like a book?? 🤨🤨🤨 it’s almost like which books you like are subjective.. and different for everybody.. 🤨🤨
go ayman, fucking destroy those haters. who fucking cares if you didn’t read 100 pages of it, if it was boring then it’s fucking great that you moved on to something actually worth your time
Yall saying she cant review the book because she didnt read enough😭? First of all books are supposed to be interesting in the beginning. The beginning is important to keep the person from continuing to read. Which it didn’t do for Ayman which is fine! You guys will live!
guys its really not that serious. her review of dune is literally not affecting any of youuuu. it’s not that serious

I can't comment on the book because I haven't read it, but for those hating her review I'd just like to point out she's probably writing them for the people who follow her. Those that follow her reviews probably share the same preference for books so she's warning them they might not like it. That's just my take 🤷🏻♀️
Personally sometimes my favorite past-time is going to my favorite books and reading the one star reviews because they tend to be the funniest even if I thoroughly enjoyed the book and they hated it. Same goes here.

everyone can have their own opinion and are allowed to express said opinion, but i also think that you should not belittle or make fun of something others enjoy. i just think that this review was kind of rude.

I do not think people would be worked up for valid criticism. I think the brand here is to cause as much engagement as possible using controversy.

I personally enjoy this book very much and I have seen many 1 star reviews that I can agree with and respect them for their opinion as they gave valid criticisms.
Sadly this review is not one of them, so you can go back to your CoHo's and quirky aesthetic books with little depth and stop ruining the review section of this masterpiece. If you were expecting a 50 year classic to have your favourite rom com actor then your review doesn't have value in my eyes. What would you say if I read your favourite novel and expected it to fit my tastes and then called it "shit" for not being appealing to me.
I do not wish to be rude but your misguided review undermines the integrity of the people who have valid criticisms.
And on the off chance that this was a troll, take my comment with a grain of salt
