bookshelves: non-ya, mystery-thriller-horror-etc, unpopular-opinion

not rating this because it was a fine thriller but it was also pro-life as hell!! and that's really going to distract from the rest of the book for me.

don't @ me thanks!!!

Rachel Aranda At least you gave it a shot. Sorry that this book didn’t jive with you. Good news is that people can have different opinions on books, movies, etc. Hopefully your next book is a better fit for you.

Zoo Wee Mama oh nO

PinkAmy loves books, cats and naps I call it anti-choice. If they don’t care about the lives of pregnant women, they can’t call themselves pro life.

Heather I like to call it pro-birth. After that, they don’t give a shit about the baby.

Velvet So glad you mention that. I hate that preachy crap.

Cheyenne Corvillion Completely agree. Really put me off the book which was disappointing. There are ways to go about things like this without pissing off half the people that read it. Maybe another character encouraging her to get an abortion to spear the mental toll of carrying a child from a man who at the time was thought to have raped her. But she still made the choice to keep it. That would have been great. But nope. Literally the only person who we got to read about from the abortion opinion was her emotional Abusive father who tried forcing her to get one. Like really? Came off very preaching.

Stephanie I found Pretty Baby to be the same.

Beryl I completely disagree. It was a great thriller. I’m totally Pro Choice. Just because a woman or family wants to keep a baby (don’t quite remember read so long ago) doesn’t make them pro life. As I remember the woman wanted the baby. Maybe I’m wrong but I disagree with your assessment.
