Great review Melissa! Hope you enjoy the miniseries anyway. I saw the new King Arthur movie with Charlie Hunnam last year and enjoyed that one, though as I understand most people didn’t so maybe I’m alone.

You are not alone!! I bought that movie. It was a flop at the box office but it was awesome to me. Although, Charlie is one of my love interests so........😊💕

Lol. I want to find a better book about the Auther era. Not too keen on the author that had a pedophile husband and she had something about child abuse too. Not too sure.

I'm not too big on the Arthurian legend. The only series I read that featured Atrhur was The Fionavar Tapestryseries.

I loved it when I watched the tv show Merlin. So I will look for something else 😊

Definitely very boring at times. If you're interested in the King Arthur myth I recommend The Once and Future King. I thought it was much better.

The Once and Future King is a retelling, staying true to the myths. Bradley's story plays around with the original legend according to her own imaginings - which is fine - but it left me less than impressed. And anyone interested in King Arthur really does need to read White's book :D

:D As I understand it, White's book sticks closer to the original legends, so worth reading for those interested in the topic.

Nice review, Melissa! I read this book many years ago and I remember was disappointed, because I was expecting something different. I should read it now and see. :)

I can't really tell you how I feel about it. I love the era but some of the stuff was too much or something. Also, the thought that the author was involved in child abuse and married to a pedophile sort of put me off. 😕

Terrific review, Mel! I never tried reading this, but I remember a time when I thought about reading it. Sorry it just wasn't better, but hopefully your next ones are / will be! xo
