Disturbing story. Disturbing characters. This book will make you feel uncomfortable, that's what Gillian Flynn does best!
I'm not sure I loved it but it's definitely the best written thriller I've read so far this year... still only getting 3.5 stars though!
I did suspect the right people but the twists were still... well disturbing!

Emily, have you checked out The Wife Between Us? I am not sure that we have the exact same taste in thrillers based on your ratings hahaha. But I enjoyed that one well enough.

I have only read “The Grownup” by this author and wasn’t sure where to go next as she has so many books to choose from. Think I’ll try this one. Thanks Emily!
Shame on you for not having read Gone Girl yet. It has a strong, vocal, albeit a tad mental female character, and I'm sure you'll like it. After the Gone Girl, Sharp Objects is the best Flynn's book, imo. But Gone Girl is less disturbing and haunting and more empowering.
Not sure if i liked the book better or the mini series on hbo? I made the mistake of watching the latter first (ugh!) but the book did end it better, made more sense? Though, the mini series was filled with great music, intrigue and acting. I felt an eerie chill at the very end of the show more than the book. "Don't tell Mama." ;)
