This author has been on my radar for a while and I wasn't disappointed.
I loved Karla Sorensen's writing style. I eased into the story effortlessly. The story's plot was compelling and kept me hooked to the pages. The only things that prevented this from being a five-star read for me are that the book felt too short and the last quarter of the book felt too rushed. The pacing felt a bit off because of these reasons. Everything else about this book was perfect.
The characters were fantastic. They were fleshed out well and had unique personalities. Both main characters have excellent character growth. I adored the senior lady book club side characters. They were a hoot. The child in the story was adorable and I loved her interactions with the main male character.
I loved the romance. The tropes were executed perfectly. There was a frenemies-to-lovers vibe going on paired with a forced proximity trope. I love stories where at least one of the main characters is thrust into parenthood spontaneously because they are always so emotional. This was also a sports romance with a grumpy hero who is a secret softie for his best friend's toddler. The romance blossomed beautifully and the main characters had scorching chemistry. The romance was a slow-burn and I think it would have been better if the book had been longer.
Overall, this was a darling story that was heart-warming and inspirational. I fell deep into this story and loved every minute. As I mentioned, I wish the book had been a bit longer but it was still such a satisfying story. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

The blurb sounded right up my alley but, in the end, it was a letdown. The premise for this story was okay but the execution was a mess. Everything was so fast-paced as to be unbelievable and frankly outlandish at times. I was seriously rolling my eyes throughout the entire book. The characters didn't have an iota of personality and it made them uninteresting and very forgettable. The romance was laughable because the kissing and orgasms started right off the bat with no real build-up. It was entirely unconvincing. The writing style was cringey and really needed some work. It was hard to get through this book if I am being honest. The ideas might have been there but there just wasn't any substance to this story. Pair that with the awful AI voice in the audiobook and this book was just a big ol' mess.

That has to be the reason why I connect with her writing so strongly and passionately and why reading one of her books is like an out-of-body experience.
Hunting has always had a pizzazz that made her writing stand out but she has really stepped up her game with the Toronto Terror series. Her writing style is still authentically her but it packs a bigger punch. Her writing is relatable and flows beautifully. I love thicker books and Hunting can pack so much into her chunksters but the time still flies by and you don't even notice. The plot of this book was so compelling and kept me fully invested from start to finish. There were so many emotions packed into this story and I was a mess for all of it. The world-building is so expertly crafted. This series is very character-driven but Hunting creates a world within the world with all the characters and their bonds. The found family is like a world all its own.
It was so easy to connect with these characters. I love the extended cast of characters because they all play important roles in the story and add a lot of depth. The found family aspect in this series is next level. I fell so in love with each and every character and I just keep falling. All of the characters are distinct and have original personalities that stand out and make the reader take notice. I am such a fangirl for all the dynamics and bonds that the characters share. The lead character had significant character growth that was so satisfying.
I fell so hard for Aurora and Hollis. They had such riveting chemistry that jumped off the page. Their forbidden romance had me feeling a gamut of emotions. The large age gap and Hollis being Aurora's dad's best friend added so much delicious tension to the story. The sexy times were top-notch. This romance ticked all the boxes for me.
Overall, there is no better time to be in your hockey romance era with Hunting going back to her roots and gracing us with this outstanding new hockey series. This book has multi-faceted characters that will capture your heart, a plot that draws you in and holds you captive, and unparalleled storytelling that will keep you coming back for more. The third book in the Toronto Terror series can't arrive soon enough!

I want to give this book all the damn stars because just wow. I am so in love with this impressive fantasy world! When I read the These Hollow Vows series I fell head over heels for the characters and the world as a whole. I have been looking forward to this second series in this world (which is pretty much a continuation with secondary characters becoming the main characters in this series) ever since it was announced. It was everything I hoped for and expected.
Lexi Ryan is so creative and is a master of her craft. Her writing voice speaks to me on so many levels. Her writing is polished, fluid, powerful, and so skilled. I love the way that she incorporated her ideas into the story. The plot was so multi-faceted and it kept me thinking and craving more. The world-building was epically complex without being confusing or overwhelming. The world was vivid and atmospheric and had so much depth.
These were such fantastic characters. I grew attached to them so easily. I naturally fell into their orbit. All of the characters in the book were distinct with original personalities that stood out. The main characters had excellent character development. They were full of depth and were so well-rounded. It was easy to step into their shoes. I loved all of the dynamics between the characters.
There are two main romances in this story and I truly loved them. I really don't want to spoil anything, but all of the elements and tropes used in the story were so compelling. Each main couple exudes natural chemistry that explodes off the page. There is a lot of betrayal going on as well which made this even more riveting.
Overall, this was a brilliant story that clawed into me and wouldn't let me go. That cliffhanger got me in a tizzy, ya'll! I don't know how I am going to wait for the sequel to be released. It will be the grandest torture. This is one of those books (as are all the books set in this world) that transcends genres and becomes iconic. This book has the same wow factor as all of the great fantasy stories in this genre. This book combines the vibes of Jennifer L. Armentrout, Sarah J. Maas, and Holly Black. If fantasy stories with fae are your jam then check out Lexi Ryan's books set in this world because you won't be disappointed.
This book was pure perfection! Jon Morgan is one swoon-worthy hero you do not want to pass up! He will ignite your heart and your loins. Be prepared.

Ruth Stilling has a magnetic writing voice that is like a siren's call. I immediately fell into this story and couldn't come up for air once I started. I was in a book coma for a full day while reading this because I simply could not put it down. Even though this is a character-driven story, Stilling still creates a well-developed world. The plot of this story was excellent and kept me hanging on and on and on. I loved all of the tropes used and how wonderfully they were executed.
These characters were a breath of fresh air. I was so overjoyed to read a book with more mature lead characters for once. Every single character in this book was outstanding. The cast of secondary characters was truly excellent. They were so distinct and added so much depth to the story. Each character stood out with originality and a unique personality. I was smitten with them. Jon's brother especially captured my heart. There was so much character growth for the main characters. All of the different character dynamics were intriguing.
The romance went from meet-cute to boy-obsessed. Jon Morgan had it bad and it was such a delight to watch him fall for Felicity. He was such a heartthrob. He pulled out all the stops for Felicity and it was so magical. This boy had it bad and it melted my heart. The romance had a slow-burn quality to it that made the chemistry feel sweltering. I loved all of Jon's romantic gestures and how Felicity didn't give up on him when he needed her most. The epilogue was so beautiful and it got me right in the feels.
Overall, this was a stand-out sports romance full of feels with unrivaled storytelling. I am so glad that this book had a gorgeous cover that caught my attention because it made me read this book on impulse and it blew my mind. I love discovering new "it" authors that I can add to my auto-buy list whose new releases I anticipate with fervor. Ruth Stilling is 100% on that list now. I can't wait to read the rest of this series. The second book was just released so I can luckily dive right in.

Wow, this story was such an epic ride! I knew that Levi Posey's story was going to be one for the record books.
Meghan Quinn is a romance writing queen! Her sports romances are some of my favorites. Her writing voice is so relatable and catchy. Her writing style is polished and flows so smoothly. Her skill in developing the plot and executing the tropes and ideas is masterful. The world-building is detailed and atmospheric.
I love how Quinn's characters always speak so loudly and make the reader sit up and take notice. They are all so lovable. The bonds that the characters share are so compelling. I love a book series with addicting characters that win over your heart and make you obsess over them. The squad goals situation in this series is real. Posey was an absolute dreamboat. I fell for him hard. I wish that he would have had a little more backstory but even with only a glimpse of his childhood, he was still an awesome character. Honestly, I wasn't the biggest fan of Wylie at the start of the story. I just didn't feel a connection with her and she came off as a little superficial to me. That changed quickly. I soon found myself really warming up to her character. Quinn is a phenomenal writer so I wasn't surprised that she was able to flip the switch and make me really care about Wylie. I loved the character development of Wylie and Posey.
Levi Posey was book boyfriend goals. I love it when an author portrays a hero in a series as a manwhore and then when his own story comes along shows that he is just a big 'ol softy. Posey was the epitome of this. How he cared about, encouraged, believed in, and fought for Wylie was knock-it-out-of-the-park incredible. (Forgive me for using a baseball analogy for a hockey story.) This story was the perfect blend of sexy and romantic. I loved Posey's kinky bedroom preferences and how he could turn the tables and show Wylie such genuine love. Their chemistry was explosive! "I do declare!" and handfan waving explosive. Their chemistry was authentic and felt right. Their "war" was so amusing and kept me glued to the pages of this book like velcro.
Overall, this was a sexy rollercoaster ride packed with humor and heart. I am such a mess for this incredible series and I want to shout it from the rooftops! If you enjoy memorable characters and a story that is impossible to put down then you need to add this book to your TBR. This series is such a beacon of light in Romancelandia and it deserves so much praise! I am seriously hoping for more books in this series and/or a spinoff! I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I was invested in this book from the start. ScottGinger Scott has never disappointed me and I swear that each of her books gets better than the last!
I was invested in this book from the start. Scott has relatable storytelling that wins me over every time. I am seriously on cloud nine every time I read one of her books because everything hits in all the right ways. The story is engaging and the plot is well-constructed.
I fell so hard for Rachel and Logan. Their personalities were well-developed and it was easy to slip into their shoes throughout the story. Logan was an absolute dreamboat. He was a gentleman and treated Rachel with such respect and kindness. I loved Rachel's character development and her journey through the betrayal she experienced at the start of the book. There were some fantastic secondary characters that I wish we got to see more of but were great additions to the story.
Rachel and Logan were so in sync. They complimented each other perfectly. Their chemistry was magnetic and felt so natural. I was Team Ragan from the start!
Overall, this was another outstanding college sports romance from Ginger Scott. She has got this genre down to a T and always impresses me with her quality stories. I am loving this series so much and I can't wait for book three!

I am so over the moon for this book! Gah, everything about this book was *chef's kiss* and put the biggest smile on my face.
Ginger Scott is one of my favorite sports romance authors. Every single sports romance that I read from her is better than the last. I love her writing voice. It is so relatable and her writing style is one that I feel such a kinship with. The plot of this book is one that you just can't get enough of. You want to keep turning the pages because it is so compelling. This was a very character-driven story and it was executed brilliantly.
These characters were so magnetic and full of personality. I adored them to pieces. They were distinct and well-rounded with excellent character development. I really connected with both main characters and was rooting for them the entire time. The side characters were also very intriguing and added a lot of depth to the story. I loved the different family dynamics represented in the story.
This book has a fantastic execution of the forced proximity and one-bed tropes with some enemies-to-lovers thrown in. Underneath all the bravado and angst, Cutter and Laney were pretty perfect for each other. They had so many similarities and it really showed once they were forced to spend time together. I love how Laney softened to Cutter as time went by. She was pretty stubborn but our girl came around in the end. The two of them had scorching chemistry that burned up the page. And once they took things to the next level? Dynamite! In the end, I really loved how Cutter showed Laney that he was truly there for her and supported her. It was so beautiful.
Overall, this was a brilliant start to The Final Score series. These characters will win you over instantly and the plot will keep you wanting more. I am so excited for the remaining books in this series. This author is one that I will keep coming back for again and again because she just gets me. I love her storytelling and her characters and I can't recommend this book enough!

I could gush about Kate Meader's profound writing skills all day long. Her writing voice speaks to me on so many levels. It is like she is writing these books just for me. Her writing is so relatable and her stories draw me in like a moth to a flame. On top of the pleasant writing style, she also kicks some serious hiney when it comes to crafting a top-notch story. Her stories are polished and executed brilliantly. Every single duck is in a row. On top of that, she manages to tell an unpredictable story that keeps the reader locked in and wanting more. So pretty much the whole kit and caboodle.
These characters totally won over my heart. Dex comes off as kind of a manwhore himbo throughout the series but this book paints him in a new light. I fell so hard for his kind, damaged heart. Dex had it rough growing up, to say the least. It was easy to pinpoint the reasons behind the way he acted once you got to know him. Ashley was damaged in a different way but had baggage nonetheless. She was such a strong character even if she kept her heart closed off to protect herself. The character development was phenomenal for both main characters. Their backgrounds were fleshed out extremely well and they had so much depth. The cast of characters in this series makes my heart soar. The squad goals and found family make me so giddy. All of the characters are so distinct and have unique personalities. I love all the different dynamics they have.
Dex may be a former playboy but damn that boy was romantic. I love a reformed playboy trope because they are always such softies for the ladies that capture their hearts. The way that Dex fell in love with Ashley and her daughter was so moving. He doted on them and showed them that he cared with his presence and thoughtful gestures. He pulled out all the stops for them and made them feel special. Dex and Ashley had a connection that jumped off the page. Anytime the two of them were together sparks were flying. And the connection that Dex shared with Willa was also so special and beautiful. He didn't humor her for the sake of doing so. He genuinely liked and cared about her. I loved this coupling so much and all the tropes that accompanied it.
Overall, this book captured my heart with relatable characters, a riveting plot, and brilliant storytelling. I wish that this series could go on and on forever. I am so obsessed with these characters and this world. If you are a fan of hockey romance, this series should be on your shelf. The tease about the characters that star in the next book in this series has me intrigued and I can't wait for more!

My gods, all the emotions...it was a damn explosion of feels. I initially wasn't as excited to read this book as I was with The Graham Effect because I was looking forward to reading about the second-generation kids from Elle Kennedy's other hockey series but this was just as epic regardless. We get to see a lot of familiar characters and we encounter some of the offspring of our beloved characters, which was amazing. I loved every moment of it. Kennedy just has a way of claiming your heart with her outstanding and memorable cast of characters. They imprint on your heart in no time and you find yourself obsessed. It was the same with her other hockey series. She can just write damn good characters that you can't help but care about. I loved the story in this one. It was compelling and kept my interest the entire time. I loved the emotional components and thought the sensitive issues were handled gracefully. This book is hands down the best Helena Hunting book to date. It is also one of the best hockey romances I have ever read. Wow, this book, ya'll. This book absolutely blew me away and I am starting to feel the book hangover.
Helena Hunting is a Romancelandia queen. She knows her craft well and how to create a god-tier sports romance. I still have not recovered from all the awesome in this book. Hunting's writing style is one of the best in the bookish world. It is relatable and has a unique voice that grabs you right from the start and keeps you locked in. The plot of this book was executed brilliantly. Hunting has a way of bringing my favorite tropes to life that feels fresh and distinct to her brand of romance.
These characters carved out a piece of my heart. Even the secondary characters were incredible. The main characters were easy to connect with and were fleshed out well. They were complex and had a lot of depth. The secondary characters felt just as important as the main couple. I truly fell in love with this cast of characters and I am so eager to know more about the side characters. This book is being marketed as a standalone and doesn't seem to be connected to a series from what I can tell so far but I am hoping that changes so we can get books about the other characters. They legit won over my heart.
One of the things that I absolutely adored about this book was the camaraderie and friendships. The girl friendships that Bea makes are so uplifting and amazing. I wanted to be a part of their girl group so badly! They were all supportive and genuine and it was so positive. It was exactly what Bea needed. I also loved the male friendships in the book. Tristan and Flip's hockey teammates were just as supportive as Bea's friends. The overall theme of friendship in the book really put a smile on my face.
The romance in this book had me so invested. I was so into it. Bea and Tristan start out with an enemies-to-lovers vibe going on, but that soon changes when they start a frenemies-with-benefits situation and they start spending more time together. That morphs into wanting to spend time together in other ways and then the feelings creep up. It's a whole thing. Tristan has a lot of personal hangups to sort out though before he and Bea can get their HEA. I loved the way that Tristan was with Bea. He was sweet and thoughtful and worshipped her. He was a goner for her and it was the cutest thing.
Helena Hunting really stepped up her game with the spice in this book! Holy moly, folks, this spice was lit and I am here for it all day long. While the spice was turned up a notch it didn't take away from the substance of the story or the genuineness of Rix and Tristan's relationship. These two were beyond explosive together. Their chemistry was off the charts and it was compounded by the enemies-to-lovers thing they had going on in the beginning. Whew, I can only hope that the next hockey romances from Helena Hunting have the same caliber when it comes to the spice. I'm going to need a folding fan at the ready to beat back the vapors.
Overall, this book is next level. This book is going to the top of my list of favorite books of 2024. It really had that kind of impact on me. This book just ticked every single box for me. The writing was masterful, the characters were memorable, and the plot kept me wanting more the entire time. The characters in this book were extraordinary and so incredibly special. I don't know how to put it into words the right way but these characters were addicting and they consumed my every thought. This is a book that I will undoubtedly read again in the future. It was that kind of book. One hundred percent re-readable. I am so stoked for Helena Hunting's next release and I am sending all the good vibes into the universe that we will see more of these characters in the future. Pick this one up (and go for the audiobook because it was legit incredible) because you will not regret it!

These characters are so addicting. I actually didn't care for the female lead character but she was still very compelling and relatable so I couldn't hate her. All of the characters are distinct and have so much personality. I adore the cast of secondary characters that add so much depth to the story. The romance was kind of adorable and I really loved the common ground that the two main characters found with each other along with a sense of support from each other. This author is really talented when it comes to plotting out her stories. The plot of this book was interesting and had so many facets. There were so many parts at play and the author connected everything beautifully. Her writing style is good but isn't as edgy or gritty as I like. I don't quite know how to describe it but in my last review, I said that it isn't bland or cringey but lacks something. Like some of the things that the characters say or do is wrapped in a protective bubblegum layer that feels unnecessary. The world-building was on point and brought this college sports setting to life. Overall, this book captured my attention easily and kept me entertained and in my feels. I fell in love with this cast of characters and I am eagerly awaiting the next book in this series!
This series has carved out a little piece of my heart! I am so obsessed with these characters and this fictional hockey world.

I am such a fangirl for Kate Meader's writing. It ticks off all the boxes for me. Her writing style is relatable and fresh. This author just gets me. Her stories are crafted so expertly. The plots are always interesting and well-executed. The world-building pulls the reader in. It's like being entranced.
The character growth in this book is phenomenal! Pepper and Bast both show significant personal growth on so many fronts. These characters are so addicting! The entire cast of characters is carefully curated to produce a book series with major squad goals. Each character is distinct and full of depth.
I loved the natural progression of the romance. That initial meeting between Bast and Pepper was so pivotal. The reader could feel the significance of it. The banter was amazing and the connection that they formed was magnetic. I am a big fan of how Bast stepped up for Pepper even though he was angry about what happened. He was so honorable and protective of her and it melted my heart.
This story has a "snowed in" trope going on and I am usually not the biggest fan of stories that mostly take place in the same location or over a short period of time. It was noticeable in this book but the story was still strong. I think that this is just a personal preference regarding tropes. The fact that Meader was able to write a book about a trope that I don't care for and still makes me love it speaks volumes.
Overall, this book was a delight from beginning to end. I loved the emotional journey that these characters took. This is a series that you should definitely take a chance on if you enjoy hockey romance. The storytelling and craft are unparalleled in excellence. This author knows her stuff and you won't be disappointed. I am so excited for the next book!

Kate Meader blew it out of the water with Tara's character in this series. Consider me impressed.
Meader's storytelling is unparalleled in awesomeness. Her writing voice is so relatable and it is easy to become addicted to her stories. She is masterful in her craft. The plot of this book was so well-constructed. I was chomping at the bit throughout the entire book and I just wanted more.
Bravo to Meader on these characters! As I stated previously, I didn't much care for Tara's character when she was introduced earlier in the series. She came off as self-absorbed and superficial. All surface with no substance. I was wrong. Who knew that there was a plethora of substance underneath her pretty surface? She had some massive character growth and I was so impressed. All of the characters in this series are crafted beautifully. They are full of personality and have backgrounds that set them apart. They are all so memorable and it is easy to fall head over heels for them. I love the camaraderie and sense of family with this amazing squad of characters.
I love all the tropes in this story and how they play out. There are enemies-to-lovers and age gap. I love how Hale and Tara are real with each other. Tara especially puts on a mask for the world but Hale can break down her defenses and see her for who she is underneath the mask. Hale started off with a grumpy attitude toward Tara but she was able to whittle him down with her positive attitude and genuine kindness. The two of them had a natural chemistry that anyone could see from a mile away.
Overall, this book impressed me on so many levels. The character development was out of this world, the plot was addicting, and the romance checked off all the boxes. This book was the whole package. This series is absolute gold and I cannot wait for the next story!

Kate Meader has a writing style that really resonates with me. I feel so at home in the pages of her books. I really connect with her storytelling. She really digs in deep with the plot and background and tells such a satisfying story.
Meader makes the reader love the characters something fierce. They get in your head and heart and you embrace them with abandon. They are so relatable so it is easy to step into their shoes. All of the characters have unique personalities and backgrounds. I love the found family vibe in this series.
I enjoyed Erik and Casey's romance. It was clear that they were smitten with each other despite what happened in the past. Their chemistry was vibrant and all-telling.
Overall, this was a short and sweet holiday romance with plenty of spice and heart. This book was a novella and I wish that the author had made this into a full-length novel instead. There was so much more that could have been explored between Erik and Casey. The story is fairly fast-paced because of the length of the book but the flow is on point regardless. It didn't feel rushed but I prefer longer stories. This novella is a must-read for fans of this series and a great choice if you are in the mood for a holiday romance.

I'm telling you, this series has latched on to me in ways I did not expect and cannot be happier about.
No kidding, this series builds upon the greatness of each preceding book just when you thought it couldn't get any better. Kate Meader has mastered this storytelling gig. Her writing style will draw you in and snare you. Her comfortable and relatable storytelling really speaks to me. The plot of this book was carefully constructed and executed brilliantly. I love how the author sets up her stories and has the reader eating out of the palm of her hand. Gah! I could fangirl forever about her writing skills.
These characters will enchant you. Meader's characters have it all going for them—the whole nine yards. The lead characters are fully fleshed out with comprehensive backgrounds. All of the characters are one of a kind and each one brings something unique to the story. The characters are all unique and distinct to the reader. Each character's personality stands out against the rest. Her characters are relatable and it is easy to form a connection to them even when their quirks would ordinarily be a turnoff. She basically makes the characters come to life and feel tangible. On top of all that, the characters also have excellent character growth that is paced perfectly throughout the story. As an added bonus, the sense of found family abounds. The dynamics between characters are interesting and compelling.
The romance in this book was so heartwarming. The connection that Reid and Kennedy formed was so natural and strong. Watching that connection grow was a delight! Reid and Kennedy were perfect for each other. Opposites that fit like perfect puzzle pieces. They filled the gaps that the other needed filled. Their attraction to each other was sizzling but their deep emotional connection made it even more spectacular.
Overall, this story had it all in spades. The mechanics of the story are polished and expertly crafted, the characters are memorable because they are the full package, and the romance is natural and hard-won. You cannot fail to fall head over heels for one of Kate Meader's stories. She is truly a marvel in her craft and I am so ready for more of her stories!

Taking a chance on this author was one of the best things that I could have done. This series is on fire and I am burning through each book like mad!
Taking a chance on this author was one of the best things that I could have done. I have found my newest go-to author! Every single book is better than the last. Her writing style is magical and casts a spell over me instantly. Her writing is relatable, polished, and has a homey feel. The plot of this book was well-crafted. Some parts may have been a bit predictable but that didn't lessen my enjoyment. The story flowed beautifully.
I am in awe with each couple that I get to know while reading this series. They are all incredible! The characters are fleshed out brilliantly. They are distinct and multi-faceted. The character development is tangible. The found family aspect in this series is executed phenomenally. The dynamics between characters are compelling.
Cal and Mia had such natural chemistry. It was meaningful and the reader could tell that they formed a genuine connection during the time they spent together. At the same time, it was also very explosive. A spark could have ignited these two in seconds. It was palpable. I loved the special bond that they had with one another.
Overall, this was another outstanding book in a series that has utterly captured my heart. This series is going on my top reads for 2024. If you love sports RomComs with memorable characters and masterful storytelling then this series should be next on your TBR!

Kate Meader is a RomCom writing goddess. Plain and simple. This book hit all the marks. Humor and emotion were dancing around each other to the perfect beat. Her writing style is relatable, witty, and easy to read. The plot of this story was absolutely golden. I was hooked immediately and the story kept on feeding my addiction. The world-building was detailed and had me walking in the characters' shoes.
I fell HARD for these main characters, ya'll. I didn't think that Kate Meader could top Theo's character from book two but lo and behold I am shooketh by these characters. The female lead was such a delight that I was both crushing on her and wishing I could add her to my girl squad. Gunnar was closed off and I couldn't even be mad about it because of his tragic past. These lead characters stood out in a big way. They were so multi-dimensional and their character development was impressive. The cast of secondary characters in this series is what #squadgoals are made of. No joke, the dynamics are to die for!
I don't want to give much away about the romance but I will say that the connection between Gunnar and Sadie is genuine, impactful, and emotional. Their relationship is rooted in something pure and meaningful.
Overall, this is one of those books that will leave a significant impact on you. This is such a memorable story that is heart-wrenching and heartwarming in equal measure. I have been reading the books in this series back to back and I am in awe of this author right now. Each book gets better than the last. I can only imagine what the rest of the series will hold. Do yourself a favor and start this series now! Kate Meader has got herself a new superfan! *jumps on the bandwagon*

The writing is phenomenal, the story is plotted out perfectly, the story is interesting and engaging, and the characters are well-developed and multi-dimensional. The only reason why this was a four-star rating for me is that I didn't really connect with the main characters despite noticing how well-crafted they were. I just didn't click with their personalities. This was my first time reading this author after being on my TBR for a long time. I was very impressed with the author's writing style and her mastery of storytelling. I will definitely be moving forward with this series and would absolutely recommend this book and author.

The characters were distinct and grabbed my attention. I was definitely invested in them early on. The plot was fleshed out well and kept my interest. The author's writing style was good but could have used a little something extra. It wasn't cringey or basic but it felt a little tame at times. The world-building was descriptive and the college vibe radiated throughout. The romance was pretty adorable. I love the fake relationship trope and this one started off great and kept delivering. This book was a first for me from this author and I am glad that I gave it a chance. Overall, this was a solid story with memorable characters and an excellent plot that kept me wanting more. I've already bought the second book on audiobook and I am about to dive into it! This author will definitely stay in my TBR rotation.
