Such a colorful book with good illustration and wonderful stories for a 5-year-old kid.
This book may based on fiction, but the author gave your kid an useful knowledge (about real things) such as planets, food, dinosaurs, plants, animals, and what's good or bad things to do for your little one.
Without me realizing it, I started reading this book in a kid's tone. I would actually like to buy this book if I have kids. The illustration in here will help me explain a bunch of stuff.
The words portion and the illustration portion are in balance, and the placement is good; this wouldn't make a 5-year-old kid bored or lose his interest in reading this book.
As an adult, I even find myself not wanting to move on to the next page as I appreciate the illustration and all of the colorful pages. It's a good experience to be back as a little kid who wants so badly to understand how this world works.
Overall is great deal for 5 year olds

Good approaching to children for parents to introducing animals as one of importance existence.
"All of us animals courageously did our bit. But some of our human counterparts did not think that we deserved the honor or even healthcare that two-legged soldiers received. Many of us walked the streets unappreciated, without the support or good care we deserved.
Somehow, it's a heartwarming story for me. Sometimes we forget how animals are also part of history, or even that history isn't complete without them.
They fight side by side with us, till the end. They're our friend, and always be.
MY THOUGHTS: This book is good to me, but let's say that the language or sentences used in here, aren't really appealing to children. This is good, but lacks something. It feels like wikipedia for children.
The color choice is great (truly), but the illustration felt "Ah, uh..." I don't know if that was the author's style, like it was meant to be like that, or if it just "Ah, uh...". (Ah, Uh... it doesn't mean bad, it was not good nor bad)
